Mounting

When a photographic image has been printed and is ready for pick-up, the question often arises as to how to best present the photograph...

Foto Leutner has specialized itself not only in the most professional processing and printing processes but also in the high-standard presentation of the finished photographic work. It is therefore no wonder that Foto Leutner has Austria's biggest museums, photographic artists, and commercial companies as its loyal clients.

Foto Leutner continuously keeps up with recent market developments and trends by visiting exhibitions, art fairs, commercial product shows and by engaging in an active dialogue with the arts, architecture, and the design industry.

Our mounting service covers everything from mounting onto FOREX (PVC), aluminum, Dibond (aluminum/PVC), MDF, as well as Diasec (face-mounting onto perspex). It furthermore looks after any lamination requests and the production of professional transport containers, in case your work requires overseas shipping. As all our services are produced in-house, we welcome special requests such as circular cuts, polished edges, mounting behind glass or face-mounting onto Perspex with a width of up to 25mm.

If images exceed the 200cm  width of our mounting machines, we are able to create your final image in several parts that can be connected in the end. The decision about the correct material for your print is partly a personal choice as well as a practical one. We advise the following guideline: should a photograph be larger than A3 (30 x 40cm) be intended for framing, it should be mounted onto Forex or Dibond (2-3mm). This type of material gives the photograph enough strength to stay upright in a frame. If no framing is intended we recommend mounting onto aluminum,Dibond (2mm) or face-mounting onto Perspex (Diasec).
