Reproduction and slides

Photographs, graphics, paintings, watercolors, posters, etc. as source material:

First, a negative, slide or scan/ digital file has to be made from the provided source material. Which of those options is most suitable will depend on the further use of the material produced.

If an analog copy of the source material is required, we would first create a color negative from which we could subsequently create a BW or color photographic print.

If you prefer to receive a high-resolution digital copy of the source material so that further reprints can be easily made at any time and/or require some retouching of image damage (such as scratches or bends), we would scan or digitally capture your raw material. This method of reproduction is one of the most common nowadays.

Should you require slides for a visual presentation or other reasons, such as for color proofing purposes or archiving, we can create transparencies or Ektachromes in addition to the digital file of your source material.

Turn-around time: 24-48 hours

Slides or Ektachrome as source material:

From slides and Ektachromes we can create duplicates (minimized, enlarged, 1:1) as well as scans or photographic enlargements (for more information on photographic prints from slide, please view photographic printing chapter)

Duplicates:

We duplicate your transparency 1:1 to its original size for long-term archiving or slide projections. On request we are also able to reproduce your slide at a larger or smaller size, for example from 35mm to Ektachrome 4x5" format or from Ektachrome 13 x 18cm to 35mm format. We produce slides in the format of 35mm, 6 x 6cm or 6 x 9cm, 4 x 5" or 8 x 10".

Turn-around time: 24-48 hours; express service on request.
